Chris Anthony Artist

Chris Anthony is an Artist and photographer who depicts strange and utterly eerie artworks oft relating to twisted situations and to some extent people, this is evident in his sight “victims and Avengers” which caught women and fryren over approach shot their abuse and the people who abused them. More importantly however, his collection, “Red, White, s fitted and Blue” expresses the sinister images of gas masks as they be mount on a collection of skulls, with only using down(p) and white tones he has been able to portray the unexampled convey behind a gas mask and the powerful idiom it has as it often is related to wipeout or pollution- being a device used throughout world war, these are depicted in a portrait style which when whole images are displace together almost are seen as a series of events. This collection also shows a to a greater extent realistic side as the gas masks are placed and piled on all different types of figures and locations, business men, women, dogs, in the streets, warehouses, odd and multiple pieces all with an American flag predominately placed in a highly visible position.



Although we are not told as to why Chris Anthony has used Gas masks in his artworks we are told he usually bases these artworks on current events or celebrities and in this chemise we are croak to believe that the Americanism expressed should only lead one to believe that these artworks are possibly based on the war in Iraq and the constant involvement America has. This relates to my proposed thought process as I am trying to depict the raw frightening aspect of what the future might hold when coming to deal with the ever-growing pollution and the ignorance people tend to have when relations with this. To mount such a piece onto a child I believe I will be able to make a bold statement just as Chris Anthony did when placed these on skulls depicting that without gas masks the amount of death will increase.
