Why the species is at risk:

Human are currently begging to breed the wolverine species in captivity, in hopes of eventually leading the species to recovery. Although the look for and Wildlife Service has intractable that the United States population of wolverine should be protected under the Endangered Species Act (ESA), the wolverine will not take in protection under the ESA any time soon.
