My maculation of practical work was called The Dead Rose. In this performance I was an actor. My performance was about a new-made girl called Nicola who is in a love triangle solely unless loves one of the characters in return. In the send away in that location is an unexpected twist as the one she loves ends up universe gay. The style of our piece was naturalism with hints of non naturalistic techniques as these were except apply occasionally during the performance e.g. narration and breaking of the forrader wall. We used these to help explain the story further and in different perspectives. The genre was romantic comedy. We chose this as there were aspects of court mixed with comedy. We achieved the genre style by adding romantic lines and gestures, afterward adding in the comic twisted ending. The performance was rank in modern day; we managed to used modern vocabulary that has only recently been made into words that are used in everyday language and by making the scenario very continent but with a modern twist so the auditory modality could understand where Nicola was coming from. We wanted the target audience to be for teenagers, as they could sympathise with the character Nicola, having gone through the experiences.



Our set was simple; it consisted of three chairs (one in the bone marrow stratum, and the other deuce at 45? angles, both facing the wings, one centre left and the other centre right.) which were moved many multiplication throughout the performance and two rostras that stayed at down stage left and downstage left. We used minimal props, such a two torches. The setting during our performance constantly changed from being exterior a house to having no chosen place. By having an end on stage it made it easier to show this. In our piece we didnt use any music; all the sounds we used were created by the other actors on stage. For example, there was a present moment when a phone was vibrating so one of my cast mates made the sound using his mouth. By doing this we used the technique of Human Soundscape.
